There’s never been a time in NFL history where the quarterback position has been of more importance than it is currently, with a host of young signal callers thriving across the league. Between rookies like C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans and veterans like gunslinger Dak Prescott who is producing wonders for the Cowboys Super Bowl odds, few states can boast the type of QB talent that Texas has at the moment. Stroud has emerged as the best quarterback of the 2023 NFL Draft class, with 3,540 passing yards and 20 touchdowns (to five interceptions), while leading Houston to a 7-5 record and a possible playoff berth. Prescott has continued his winning ways in “Big D,” leading the Cowboys to a 9-3 record and a 6-0 mark inside the stadium known as “Jerry World.”
Year after year, we always see our fantasy leagues taken down by a late-round stellar pick or an incredible mid-season pickup to help propel them to the championship. As we move into the typical Fantasy Playoffs period for most leagues, BetTexas.com utilized FantasyData.com to compile the current fantasy rankings of QBs after Week 13 of play in a standard PPR league and then found the ADP fantasy rankings for a standard PPR league prior to the season.
NFL quarterbacks were only included if they were in the Top 30 in original ADP rankings.

Texans Stroud, Cowboys Prescott Among NFL’s Best Fantasy QBs
The NFL quarterback with the biggest jump in fantasy rankings in 2023 is Stroud, who went from being the No. 28 ranked player at the position preseason to the No. 4 spot this week. That meteoric rise came after Stroud averaged 19.9 fantasy points per week during the Texans’ surprising 7-5 start to the year, allowing him to beat out Washington Commanders’ QB Sam Howell (+22 spots), Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers (+16 spots), Green Bay Packers first-year starter Jordan Love (+15 spots) and Prescott (+6 spots) leaguewide.
As far as points per game are concerned, Prescott leads the group at 21.2, followed by Stroud (19.9) and Purdy (19.0), with Love (18.5) and Howell (18.2) rounding out the list leaguewide. With the Texans in line to make the NFL postseason for the first time in a half-decade, there’s little denying that Stroud has been one of the league’s brightest surprises in 2023. That said, it’s also fair to declare that Prescott has emerged as one of the sport’s top dogs at quarterback, with the veteran guiding Dallas to another smashing season in 2023.
