Stefon Diggs Free Agent Destinations: Odds for Veteran Wide Receiver’s Next Team

Fact Checked by Thomas Leary

An NFL wideout with north of 10,000 receiving yards in his illustrious career is officially back on the market, as veteran pass catcher Stefon Diggs is still looking for a team to call his own for the 2025 league year after completing the one-year, $22.520 million deal he signed with the Houston Texans in 2024.

Diggs’ 10th NFL season was perhaps his worst to date, with career lows in receptions (47), receiving yards (496) and touchdowns (three) for Houston, to go with a new low for approximate value (per Pro-Football-Reference.com), with a total of four in eight games.

Still, as Diggs heads back out as a free agent this week, BetTexas.com wanted to take a look at which NFL teams are leading in the chase to land the four-time Pro Bowl wideout out of Maryland, with another Lone Star State football team sitting atop our odds board right now.

Who Signs Stefon Diggs?

Given the spending habits of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in the first 24 hours of the NFL free agency window, it’s not farfetched to assume that the NFC East stalwart is a frontrunner to land any high profile UFA in 2025, which is one of the reasons why we list the club atop our odds board to sign Diggs, at +475.

So far, Dallas has signed six free agents, including defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa, running back Javonte Williams and safety Markquese Bell, speaking to Jones’ desire to rebuild the ‘Boys after last year’s disastrous 7-10 campaign in Arlington, which explains much of our reasoning for putting them atop the race to land Diggs this offseason.

Should Diggs sign elsewhere, though, keep an eye on teams like the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers to do so, with both AFC teams sitting at +550 to land the former Texans wideout in free agency, while the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs are the other teams on our board right now, at +700 apiece.

The one thing we do know right now is that Diggs will be a hot commodity on the NFL free agency wire in the coming days, as the four-time Pro Bowler tries to put his dismal 2024 season in the rearview and help a new team reach the promised land in 2025 across Texas sports betting.
