Most Undervalued Texas Rangers On 2025 Roster

Suffice it to say, last year’s World Series repeat quest fell well short across Texas sports betting, with the Rangers bottoming out from 2023’s meteoric highs by going 78-84 and finishing a distant third in the five-team AL West.

Luckily for baseball fans in the heart of Texas, the Rangers still have Bruce Bochy as the team’s manager, which helps calm down any overreactions that may stem from a disappointing season, while the squad brings back a host of young talent in 2025.

BetTexas.com utilized Fangraphs.com to gather the 2025 salary information and projected 2025 WAR. Once acquiring that information, we divided the salary by the player’s projected WAR to determine the players’ potential value.

Langford Top of Mind Entering Spring Training

In 2025, there are three Rangers making the league minimum of $800,000 that are projected to have big seasons, WAR wise, with outfielders Wyatt Langford and Evan Carter doing the lion’s share of the damage while infielder Josh Jung adds a fair amount of pop to Texas’ lineup as well.

Right now, the team at Fangraphs.com projects that Langford will hit third in Texas’ lineup, while Jung bats sixth and Carter seventh, with the three everyday position players projected to post WAR totals of 4.0 (Langford) and 2.3 apiece for Carter and Jung.

In 2025, Fangraphs.com projects that Langford will bash 23 home runs in 144 games played, with Jung adding 22 longballs in 136 games and Carter pops 14 more in 120 games played, as the trio of former Rangers farmhands hope to get the club back on top this MLB season.

On that front, DraftKings Sportsbook lists Texas behind the team’s Lone Star State rivals from Houston on the company’s AL West odds board, with the Rangers checking in at +225 to the Astros +125 standing entering Spring Training.

Throw in Texas’ -125 odds of making the postseason again after missing out a year ago and you have all the anecdotal evidence you need that 2025 could be a year to remember for baseball fans in the DFW region, after the Rangers bottomed out last season on the diamonds of The Show.
